Photographs for a city and the people in it.

Still work alongside the cinematography: convocation days in downtown Vancouver and at UBC, the city's public spaces, and documentary frames from Mumbai.

Convocation days

Vancouver · 2025

Events, portraits and families in one day's light: Library Square, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre plaza and the UBC gardens. Nothing staged beyond where to stand.

Public space

Vancouver

The city the way residents meet it: a residential street the morning after snow, and Granville Street from the pavement.

Documentary and environmental portraiture

Mumbai · 2016 to 2022

Working people in their own places, at close range and in available light. The habits carry straight into civic work: get close, stay honest, keep the colour true.

How these were made

Available light where the place allows it, one light where it does not. Edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop, colour managed from capture to export so a set holds together across print, web and social.

Consent and records

The Vancouver sessions were commissioned by the graduates and their families. The Mumbai frames were made openly, at close range, with the subject's knowledge. Every file carries date, place and subject in its metadata and the archive is catalogued in Lightroom.

Delivery

Same-day selects for social, full edits within the week, exported to each platform's size and format, with alt text written for every image that goes to the web.
